Flashgun advice needed.

    Hi all,

Am wanting to add a flashgun to my equipment but I am on a very tight budget. Can anyone out there recommend an entry level flash that will work with an Olympus E-450 DSLR. TTL would be nice if not that much more expensive. All advice and comments welcomed.

    Thanks,

    Kev.

I had a Sigma flash which was good for the money, but I dont think they do an Oly
fit, Yongnuo do an Oly fit and seem to be reasonably priced, I dont know much about
them though. Your best bet is to do a google search for flash to suit and then go on
    ebay.

    Not much help am I….sorry!

    Hey Jenny,

Don’t be silly that was helpful. Ya I was looking at the Yongnuo on eBay and yep the price is right on them, but I also spotted a lot of people having trouble with it when I googled it. Think I need to do some more research on Yongnuo.

Thanks for taking the time to reply,

    Kev

There is another third party flash but cant think of the name is it Mexx or something
like that? No no Metz thats it did you check them out? I think they are probably more
    reliable.

Nissen do cheap versions of Canon flashes, but I don’t know about Olympus fit. Might be worth checking out too.

    Thanks again Jenny,

had a look for Metz, but much more costly than Yongnuo, think Yongnuo might be worth a go.

Thanks feck and everyone for the advice, I ended up going for the Yongnuo YN-460II which arrived yesterday. 50 Euro inc shipping and so far so good, think it will do everything I need a flas for.

    Cheers

    Kev
