Very good. Your little experiments are getting more and more interesting. Noticed the heart before I read you saying it. Not sure how your set-up was arranged but maybe the match itself is a bit too bright? As in, the ignition should be the brightest in the picture, no?

I clamped the match & used a small gas blowtorch to light it. Once I could see the head getting wet (liquidising sulphur), I fired the camera using a shutter release. Ringflash used to give me a shutter speed of 1/125th sec. Plenty of failed attempts & burnt fingers involved. :lol:
