Not sure if it is the right section but I am going to be doing a car shoot in an empty warehouse and I am looking for florescent tube lights that just plug in to the wall, is there any special type or can anyone recommend a set.

Hi Marty. Most ceiling-fit fittings come with a lenght of cable attached. Just connect a plug and it should be fine for any of them.

Thats what I was thinking, just wondering really if there is any purpose built ones for photography. ALso was thinking of doing a wet floor scene, so they may need to be water proof…. maybe I am just mad !

If you just want a linear fluorescent on a stand,
you might be looking for a plasterer’s work light-

Failing that, you can wire an ordinary fluorescent tube fairly easily.

Though, if in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician-
