I enjoyed the footsteps on this one. It brought a smile to my face. It would have been even better if you had managed to get a nice clean piece of sand to get the footsteps on. It’s shame about the bootprints nearby. This could have been really interesting if you had gone as wide angle and low as possible to really fill the frame with that footprint, with the others leading away.
For some reason the top of the frame looks a little flat. Did you use a grad filter?, if so, what make? Sometimes those filters are not quite as neutral as they advertise (Cokin for example tend to look a little grey/purple). I may be wrong on this though. To me it looks a bit like an unprocessed RAW file would look before applying white balance and contrast tweaks.
I really liked that shot – I think the footsteps work just fine. The sky also looks good to me and the amount of foreground space is spot on. If I had to guess I would say a levels adjustment on the sky selection ?
