Good not to forget. guthrijParticipant November 12, 2008 at 11:23 pm Thanks Mark. Ypres is a very special place. As the poet Siegfried Sassoon said “Here was the world’s worst wound”. Cheers. John kenhParticipant November 14, 2008 at 9:18 pm Great shots John, thanks for posting – agree with Mark about the third one – really poignant. guthrijParticipant November 15, 2008 at 10:33 am Thanks Ken. I must go back to Ypres. I was only there for a few hours. There is so much more to see. Cheers, John PD_BARBSParticipant November 15, 2008 at 12:13 pm Great set of shots, I have to agree with everyone else. The shot of the tree is really something, alot of food for thought. Thanks for sharing these. thebigbejaysusMember November 20, 2008 at 11:16 pm These are excellent b/w images in every way. I especially like the first three and especially number three, which is highly evocative for me. DJHParticipant November 21, 2008 at 10:56 am Superb B&W … No.1 is my fav. great contrast Not Pete the blokeParticipant November 21, 2008 at 11:01 am Great set, and again my vote would go for number 3 but the first 3 are all top notch. One small point, I would much prefer the inner black frame to be considerably thinner. At the moment I find it far too dominant.
