I think i’d prefer a square crop on the flower, maybe a bit of a sharpen and clone out the imperfections on the petal.

still not sure… something not right. I would clone out the stem to the left on the square crop but i think i still prefer the composition in first. I feel like i’m in a shoe shop, i don’t know what i want :) I think i’ll refrain from critiquing tonight!!Care to give it a go? (Full permission to do what you like with the image.)

I would change the background to black to make more dominant the flower.I used the photoshop elements 2, selected the green area(with the magic selection tool) and change the brightnes to 100% and add little contrast.
