The trick here was to keep detail in the white areas of the flower. I underexposed one stop and then used Photoshops Levels Tool darken the highlights just a little.

not completely sure about the framing on the bottom of the petal though,
it runs very close to the frame-j

now that is a cracking image, I agree with JB about the crop though :wink:
Thanks everyone. I appreciate the nice comments. I did not notice the cropping on the bottom before (something I should have). You’re right, it’s too close.
