Cracking shot John. Really captures the predator element of the fox.
The concentration in its eyes are great.Good composition too, lots of leading space at the bottom of the image

Thanks guys, Mark, Mike Brown gave away the secret to my fox photography at the weekend workshop we were at, do you remember what it was, if so you can tell the lads :) If not ye’ll have to have a guess first :wink:

That boy looks about as tame as a wildcat. It’s a wonderful photo. Like Brandyman said: there sure are some talented photographers in this place.
Is the secret to go to the stuffed animal museum late at night and take the one from the glass case out into the wild?
We have quite a few urban foxes around us but they’re not so good at modelling.
Hmmm, maybe that was it. Certainly there was a story about a stuffed owl at the weekend. I think it was an owl :shock:

Mark was correct it was a tame-ish fox, he seemed to like my camera and kept trying to take it from me, he was actually stalking me and his next move after that shot was to grab the camera strap. i still have the teeth marks on my camera strap, will post a pic of him hanging from my camera strap soon.
Don’t photograph stuffed animals unlike the guy that won the ESB comp a few years ago. :wink:
