I’ve just stumbled upon the site and thought I should join. I’m new to this sort of thing (forums and good photography) so it’ll be a while before I get my bearings. Hope it helps me to get into it.

Started off a couple of years ago with your normal run-of-the-mill ?300 digital camera and gradually got more interested. I recently bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ-30 (recommended by a respected Galway camera enthusiast) and PS Elements. I thought Elements would be a bit more user friendly than it is, so I may need more time/discussion/books/courses even. I’m sure I’ll find some tips here.
The camera is good, 8M with great 12x optical zoom with image stabilizer. Slightly dissapointed with the noise levels though. Time will tell!!!
