Cheers for that Graham. Got a couple of half decent shots on the day..considering the lighting and the weather..so I’m happy enough.
That’s a very kind offer btw…I do have a Hama tripod..but it is really light and cheap and there is no way I’d put my D80 with the battery pack on it..cos it would probably topple over first attempt  Certainly if you have anything heavier and you’re not using it I’d be very obliged…if ya wanna I’d even buy one of ya. Think the flash is gonna come first so.
Thanks everyone :D
EddieParticipantGreat image. It really grabs your attention, and holds it. I think the lads add something to the picture, the contrast in clothing and expressions between the well groomed lady and the hooded boys is a strong element of the image. The very modern backgound building is unusual for such an image but works really well. Fine piece of work.
SodafarlMemberRobbie very nice picture I am only getting to see it now. You really are enjoying the D80 by the look of it. I got the SB600 from this guy and did get it next day, was the best price outside Hong Kong that didn’t mean paying ?30.00 rip off postage.http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130064042544&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_RSCC_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT&refitem=130074817234&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&usedrule1=StoreCatToStoreCat&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget
It does appear to be a great flash.

It’s funny you should mention that Eddie. Myself and Lorraine were just discussing it on the day. It’s amazing that an archaic throwback to days gone by is still surviving in todays modern Dublin, and the backdrop just emphasizes this. Long may it run in my opinion.
PippateeMemberLong may it run indeed Robbie,
Love this pic and I’m delighted you’re getting good use outta the D80…
ExpresbroParticipantThanks Philip. This was my first proper outing with it really…so really looking forward to my next. Got some great tips and advice from Ciaran and Lorraine which helped to make the learning curve a little less steep… :D
