FS: Canon 5D and BG-E4 battery grip
-

Hi folks, I used to post quite frequently on here, but college has been distracting me.. I was gonna ebay this, but thought I’d try here first to make sure this went to a good home!
Comes with 3 genuine Canon batteries and a 2gb Sandisk Extreme III CF card. Boxed with strap, manual, body cap, leads, charger.
The camera shows little sign of use. There is a small amount of dust (typical of 5Ds) in the viewfinder which does not affect performance and a small superficial rub mark on the base of the battery grip. Other wise it is like new and it’s recently had a sensor clean. Estimate shutter count to be around 15,000 clicks.
If you’re reading this, you probably know what a legend the 5D is. The files are beautiful, with smooth tones and the highlights are as close to film as digital has got. The step up to full frame from crop sensors is unreal and the images take on an inarticulable 3D other-worldly quality, as well as that huge viewfinder. Stick a fast 50mm on and you don’t need anything else!! I’m selling only because I’ve recently upgraded to a 5D mk II.
I’m based in Dublin 15, close to m50. I can also meet up city centre and I am up north frequently as well. Any questions drop me a message.
€900
HicksterParticipantHave you had it from new?..how old
Has it been sent in for repair for the mirror recall problem on this model?
PeteMcDMemberHi Hickster, I bought it from a friend a few months back. He bought it from Calumet in Belfast 18 months ago. He didn’t mention anything about the mirror recall. I imagine it isn’t part of the recall as this is a late 5D model. I’ll find out for sure, though.
PeteMcDMemberre: mirror recall. According to the Canon site, a 5D has this problem when it’s mirror detaches! There’s no specific series of serials affected. This camera hasn’t had any problems with the mirror.
PeteMcDMemberpullandbangMemberYou interested in parting with the grip separately? I’d offer you €80 – don’t need any batteries.
brightredshoesParticipantCan you accept pay pal for payment? Already blown my cash this month on a printer…

Thanks for your offer brightredshoes. Ideally I was gonna sell it as a set. €80 isn’t worth my while, but happy to accept €100 by paypal.
pullandbangMemberPeteMcDMember5D body—SOLD
Pullandbang—happy to accept your offer of €100 for the grip but the batteries went with the camera body (guy got a bargain!!). Just got one non-OEM battery left (7dayshop) which I can throw in.
pullandbangMemberThought he wasn’t interested in the batteries – can we meet in the middle €90 :-)
PeteMcDMemberpreilly79MemberHi, can you confirm if the BG-E4 has sold? If it’s still up for offer I would be happy to offer you what the previous person has offered and can pick up from any location.
