Fuji neopan 400 in 120
-
M62Participant
Don’t suppose anybody out there has some Fuji neopan 400 in 120 that they’d be interest in selling or swapping for Portra 400 / Efke infra-red 120 / Neopan 400 in 35mm.
Was it Paul strand that said everytime i find a film i like they go and take it off the market?
Cheers.
thefizzParticipantGive Gunns a call (01 4781226) as they may still have stock.
Have you tried HP5 or Tri-X? Sooner or later you’ll have to switch anyway.
MarkKeymasterI checked 7dayshop where I got my last lot a couple of months ago and they no longer have any for sale.
Real pity…EddieParticipantI have been buying it in Gunns up to very recently and am due to go up there at lunchtime on Friday. I can collect and post some down to you. will PM my details
M62ParticipantEddie i was on to gunn’s couple of days ago and they’re happy to take an order over teh phone and post the stock on. Many thanks for the offer though. Shame they’ve discontinued the neopan. Has some chemical element that’s been declared harmful to the environment apparently.
johnhigParticipantbugger I use Neopan 400 all the time in 120… humm 3 rolls left in 120 now.. and that’s it. :(
damien.murphyParticipantBit of a bizarre situation. Picked up some in Gunnes a few weeks back, who noted although the film has been officially discontinued, that there is often up to 2 years supply left out there when a film is discontinued. Also, they said they wouldn’t rule out the possibility of it being re-introduced by Fuji, so you never know. Hope :)
Neopan 1600 has been dropped recently too, so you wonder what’s going on. I imagine there’s easily enough demand to cater to iso 100, 400 and 1600 b&w films by the big three in 35mm, 120 and 5×4, as well as a number of b&w emulsions by the smaller players such as Foma/ Adox, etc.
VladMemberMartin, if you’re still interested in swaping for your Portra, I happen to have 5 pro pack of Neop400 dated 02/2010 in the fridge.
Dermot1ParticipantI really wish Fuji would stop fecking about with their line up of films, was using a lot of neopan lately and was liking it, off to eBay to stock the fridge,
makes me glad I mainly shoot Ilford.damien.murphyParticipantYes, quite odd for a company that still has the word ‘film’ in it’s name! ;)
M62ParticipantThanks for the offer Vlad but since my original post i’ve found plenty of Neopan 400.
