Fun At The Fringe Of Things

As with a lot of my photos I’m not sure if it belongs here but I though “well it is a candid shot of people so…”.

I took this photo at the Edmonton Fringe Festival last year.
I like the shape made by the hands in it…

    Good/bad/could be better?

    Thanks,

Looked at this a few times and not sure on it still pihjin. There doesn’t seem to be one area of the shot that grabs the attention..just too many other distractions imo. The little girl in the foreground with her hands over her mouth is the most interesting part of the shot, and would have made a nice subject on her own..but is kind of lost in the crowd I think.

Personally I prefer when at least one of the subjects is isolated and becomes the focus point of the shot.

    Thanks for the feedback.
Yeah, I was shooting “crowd shots” as part of my job that day so the picture is quite busy I agree.
I’m not too sure I’d crop this perticular shot that close on the girl but I’ll def. bear it in mind for the next time!

Ah no…wasn’t suggesting that…doubt it would work in this case…

In a perfect world you would have been perfectly placed to catch her full frame…

    and I’ll be getting a D300 and a 70-200 F2.8 for my birthday….!!! I wish

Ah yes this mysterious “perfect world” I hear so much about… someday I’ll find a map to it!
