Thought I’d post this for a laugh. This is at the top of a very steep hill (Coomanaspaig) behind Portmagee in Kerry. This guy appeared over the horizon!

How lucky can you get! Talk about being in the right place at the right time, not to mention having your camera handy! 8)
*puzzled* I just don’t get it. No, I get that he’s not walking the dogs… but I don’t get why it’s such a classy/ic shot?! The boot being open is also quite distracting. Gah, I dunno. I need to eat… maybe when I’m less hungry I’ll be in better humour!

I think its both – it’s funny to see someone walking their super fit looking greyhound dogs while sitting in the back of a hiace. You can almost see the beerbelly roll over the steering wheel. I dunno maybe its an Irish or a country thing but string vests & hiace vans & ‘dags’ can make a funny shot.

LOL.ish That about sums it up for me. Did you read the title of the thread? Just imagine me running, panting down the hill asking himself if he could close the boot so that when I post this on a photography forum people will not find it distracting??????? Talk about missing the point for crying out loud :( :roll: :?: Who said it was a great shot? Certainly not me but I have seen a million times worse and more pretentious.
I consider it a nice fun pic, yes, well composed with cute backlighting and an unusual subject, but I felt that that was a little long for a thread title.
Maybe I should have faded the background to make the main subject more recognisable.

I didn’t say or imply that you should’ve done. I realise it’s a moment you just captured, but I was simply making an observation that, when I looked at the pic, my eye kept getting distracted by the open boot. That’s just where my eye goes. Sorry for mentioning it.
So I missed the point of the fun pic, I apologise. I wasn’t paying enough attention to the title of the thread when I made my comment. I just saw everyone raving about what I thought was just an average shot, and it puzzled me. No need to cry out loud :)
