can’t see the pic…
you need to edit your post, and untick the option for “Disable BBCode in this post”…
HAPPIParticipantMTBIrelandParticipantHey Paul…good to see you on here… the photo is rather big and hard to see without scrolling around the screen and therefore hard to get an idea of what the overall pic is like…
Hope we get to see some of your great mountain bike photos…!
Dave
HAPPIParticipantliamoParticipantDoes anyone know of any orginisations or people that would be intrested in a number of photograhy taken at lat years senior and u21 all ireland finals aswel as interproincial and club photos!!!!
SodafarlMemberHappi a great pic I have tried to get shots of GAA matches when I used the S7000 and god was it difficult, I have tried a soccer match with the new camera still difficult even if a slower game. As for Hurling. Liamo Show a couple of your hurling shots as I think if anyone can get a good shot it deserves to be shown as good on them. .
SodaRobMembermervifwdcParticipantGreat shot, and would have gotten into a paper easily. Possibly needs to be sharpened.
Liamo: Just a general note about getting photo’s published, and it is that there is a market for those photo’s the same day as the match, possibly up until about 12 on Monday (if the local paper is printed weekly, and nearer the end of the week), but after that, it’s gone. Also, the photo is of no value unless it has been captioned – which means the players names, event etc is entered as a caption into the IPTC meta data fields.
Merv.
HAPPIParticipantThanks guys
that pic along with 3 or 4 others were published in the Co Down Outlook, my local paper.Liamo: Just a general note about getting photo’s published, and it is that there is a market for those photo’s the same day as the match, possibly up until about 12 on Monday (if the local paper is printed weekly, and nearer the end of the week), but after that, it’s gone. Paul they seem to be hitting form already, was told by a couple of the Armagh boys to watch out for Cavan they reckon that they can do well this year.
Some great shots , you will get some travelling done with Cross and Armagh.
Cheers
SodaNot Pete the blokeParticipantPaul, these are excellent shots indeed! A 300 f2.8 must have set you back a few bob…. You are professional I assume?
I am hoping to get more into sports photography, and have managed to get a Canon 300 f4 L IS (awaiting delivery) for a mixture of football, rugby, hockey and cricket etc.
You never know – I might be knocking on your door to accompany you on a GAA shoot sometime soon.
