There are far more qualified members here to give you advice but I thought
you deserved some comment.
I think you have done really well here and produced some really good action
photographs that I’m sure some of the participants would be delighted to have.
I like the sequence of 7 & 8 showing the goal being scored and perhaps you have one
showing the, no doubt, contrasting reactions of the 4 players after the ball hit the net.
I alway seem to notice when parts of the subjects are very near or fall outside the frame such
as in #1 and #2.
It’s a small point but worth noting I think.
I notice too that all the images are landscape.
I feel that it can be worth considering portrait in certain circumstances such as in #4 where
more of the players would have been included.
All in all they are very good and my comments are just my opinion.
John thanks for the advice i tend to hand hold the 300.2.8 with the 7d i should turn it to portrait but i find it awkward must give it a go next time out
There are a couple of good shots there. Regarding holding the camera in portrait for long periods, 1 possible way around it is a vertical grip for the camera, though I know a vertical grip is not to everyones liking, I’ve not got one myself at the moment, but I have used one, and will eventually get one of my own.
