I will be leaving home around 5am to get there in good time
and perhaps a bit of a fry-up on the way down

Any ideas about parking? Should I head out about salthill then walk back into town?

    hi cathald,

my self and photoeye and another will be in town for 10!

Seaview was asking about parking but I only realised
that there is good parking but limited at the cathedral
for €4 for the day !!

you will be coming in on the tuam road [n17] and you will see a
sign for park and ride. busses every 10 mins i think.

if you want to ring me in the morning i can direct you to the
cathedral or we can meet you in the city and travel in together
    options are there.

    Alan

oh . . . kenh, sorry to hear you cant make it. im sure we will
be posting the results here for anyone interested to view!

I have been in contact with Alan by PM but didn’t want to
mention the possibility of getting to Galway on here and
    then have to pull out.

We are just about to leave Rosslare and head west.

I have swapped tele nos with Alan.

Hopefully I will meet a few of you over the next couple of days.

    Cheers,
    John.

Thanks to the lads for making in over, up and down to Galway.

JB from Galway [is a member here on pi but I dont know his handle!]
    Austin [photoeye]

and on sunday I met up with John [5faythe] foy a drink and a chat
    thanks for the coke John!

It was a good day out apart from getting cooked, the weather was fab.
still suffering from the sunburn . . .
The red Arrows were the highlight of the day really as the actual in port
racing of the ocean race boats were very far out in the bay to get a good
    shot of them.

again thanks to all for making the effort, especially Cathald who did
Inishowen – Galway – Inishowen in the one day!
