Here is the schedule for Saturday 30th.
Saturday May 30
Follow the Green Dragon Route (Eyre Sq to Salthill) May 29 – June 1Events on Galway Bay
Volvo Ocean Race Galway In Port Race 1pm.
Best viewing from Salthill Promenade with big screens and commentary.
Even Keel (presented by AIB)
Windsurfing and Kitesurfing Displays daily.
TG4 has confirmed that it will be broadcasting the Volvo Ocean Race
live from Galway on Saturday 30th May with coverage of the in-port
races which will be held in Galway Bay that afternoon. The live
coverage will begin on TG4 at 11:55am and will include news,
interviews and all the action from Salthill with the two in-port races
scheduled to start at 1pm. The coverage will also be broadcast worldwide on TG4 http://www.tg4.tv, coverage will get off to a spectacular start with live coverage
of the famous Red Arrows air display at 12pm.Red Arrows Air Display supported by Failte Salthill and Seapoint 12 noon

and perhaps a bit of a fry-up on the way down

Any ideas about parking? Should I head out about salthill then walk back into town?Cathal

my self and photoeye and another will be in town for 10!
Seaview was asking about parking but I only realised
that there is good parking but limited at the cathedral
for €4 for the day !!you will be coming in on the tuam road [n17] and you will see a
sign for park and ride. busses every 10 mins i think.if you want to ring me in the morning i can direct you to the
cathedral or we can meet you in the city and travel in together
options are there.Alan

mention the possibility of getting to Galway on here and
then have to pull out.We are just about to leave Rosslare and head west.
I have swapped tele nos with Alan.
Hopefully I will meet a few of you over the next couple of days.

still suffering from the sunburn . . .
The red Arrows were the highlight of the day really as the actual in port
racing of the ocean race boats were very far out in the bay to get a good
shot of them.again thanks to all for making the effort, especially Cathald who did
Inishowen – Galway – Inishowen in the one day!Alan
