Gap of Dunlow on New years eve

    Finally made a trip to Killarney before the end of 2008 and I tried to make the best of the day that was in it, this was one of my favourites. I used HDR to try and bring out the detail. I’d appreciate some C&C

    Nice shot, I like the detail in the cloud but I think the foreground suffers as it looks washed out. Also is that water or dust bunnies that I can see in a few areas.

    I think the muted colours works here, given the subject and conditions. I imagine this is pretty faithful to how it looked to Norris who was there. If the colours were any more saturated I think the HDR effect would become over cooked

    Does indeed look like water on the lens though :(

    I was down there with Sean and thats pretty much the way it looked.

    I wouldn’t have picked that shot as the best you took that day, I prefer this one.

    thanks for all the comments. I couldnt really do much about the colours as it was a very dull day down there. I see the droplets now, It was very windy down there and I didnt spot the drops on the filter when I was there unfortunatly. I hope to go back to that spot again soon and have another go.
