Timing is good but your positioning could have been better by ensuring no shadows come across half the players faces. Shoot into the sun, people have this idea that it’s good to shoot with it at your back but it’s a myth.

thanks for your visit and your comment, appreciated.
i don’t mind the shadows on players, to me they just add to the atmosphere. if you look at the body shadows, you’ll see that i didn’t have the sun on my back either but you know how it is sometimes at matches – you have a spot and that’s it! you can not choose where to sit all the time just to facilitate your photography

For AIL/Leinster league games you can go anywhere except the technical areas.

i do appreciate your advice and comments but i don’t think you see the whole picture here.
when you take photos at matches your job is to photograph the action of the match, my job is to photograph and follow coolmine’s players.
because of that, i am positioning myself so the players are facing me (and yes i do change sides at half time and i’m not afraid at all to shoot in the sun) so for that reason i’m sort of constrained in my movements. looking at the picture above, i have a question: what’s the point of shooting in the sun when shooting in the sun means that i see the back of the players?

anyway, thanks for taking the time and thanks for the advice!
