    Boy that brings back memories, when as a child my folks used to bring me and my brother on the occasional
    Sunday to the Abbey.
    I think that the second image is probably stronger than the first mainly because the overhanging branches
    aren’t covering as much of the scene as in the first. I like the amount of ‘smoothness’ in the water, not too much.

    Anyhow, thanks for the reminder :)

    i too prefer the second. what draws me to this one is the branches overhanging and framing the water which draws my eye right to the water. in the first there are too many other things to look at, the weeping willow branches going into the water, the pathway, etc.. love the post processing.

    Nice photos. I prefer the second, too – mainly because it doesn’t show any of the dull sky and if I hadn’t seen the first I would have assumed that the sky / light was great! I also agree that it has a clearer theme. Well captured.

    Twp good shots no 2 has the edge for me with composition and the movement of the water.
