One from the PI weekend in Cork, on Ilnacullen or Garnish Island, this was my 1st outing with the IR converted Nikon D70…..

Taken with 18-70 18mm, f11,1/100 ISO200 then desaturated in PS with a boost of contrast, all C&C appreciated as said this is my 1st attempt with this camera…!!

    Cheers Steve

    Hey Steve,

Looks like the camera is working out very well indeed. I’m tempted, but I’ll save that for another thread…
I quite like the angle you got, I only went centrally and I don’t think it’ll look as well as the IR version.

Can’t wait to see some more…

Thats nice and I like the composition too. As Ive mentioned on other IR shots, I am not a natural IR fan as such…. not that its a deviant black art or anything, just need convincing. This is pleasing and doesn’t scare me! Maybe Im getting there?

By the way, if it was mine I would hack away those branches encroaching on the top left…. or maybe just clone them?

I had a “bad” experience there as a wee kid. The outboard motor on the “boat” bringing us over died and we drifted for a while before getting a tow. My mother nearly had a canary, but I enjoyed it….. then I was only 8 or so.

Hi Steve, this is a fabulous shot, well done. Mind you, it’s not people free,..I think that’s me disappearing behind the right hand pillar. Sorry ’bout that!
