Two from the weekend. It was nice to be outdoors during daylight again. Roll on next weekend.

I don’t take landscape photos at the moment or hardly ever comment in the landscape section, my eye is not really trained in landscapes.
I really like #2. Nothing wrong with #1 either but its a more straightforward scene.

#2 has the wonderful curvy lead-in and the rain shower at the end of it, draws you in far. The reflections in the stream are beautiful too.

    So #1 nice , #2 is great.

I particularly like the second of these – the line of water leading into the picture and the reflections in the water.

The foreground is too complicated in the first – with too many footprints!

Thank you both for the comments and advice. Much appreciated.

Dave, I like the composition in both, but I think you must have run these through Photomatix? They didn’t need that sort of treatment at all. Manual blending of 2 exposures in Photoshop with a simple gradient mask would have achieved a much more pleasing result in my opinion.

Good shots, second works best for me. Lovely reflection and foreground area, even the 50/50 split for the horizon works
    Nice one

    Thanks for the comments Steve.
    No photomatix used.
First one was a 3 stop nd grad.
Second was taken using a 3 stop nd + 2 stop nd grad

Both had some minor adjustments in lightroom but no more than a +- 0.5 exposure adjustment, and some negative saturation.

Two nice shots. Especially #2 for all the reasons mentioned above.
