Hi tigs, i read in your other shot that your new to photography and would like some tips. First of all im no expert but just some things i think of your image are its a nice image and nothing wrong with the idea of going with the selective colour. Only thing is you have missed some of the green and so it left a green halo around the head. For nature shots, the Animal MUST be sharp throughout. I have seen an awful lot of shots lose points because of the animal not been sharp. The body seems sharp here but the head aint. I like using borders too, but i think the border here is a big distraction. But have to say its a very good effort and i hope i have been helpful. stick with it as in time you will nail it. well done
Thanks so much for your feedback! I did the selective colour in photobucket and my hand wobbled ever so slightly along the edge!!!! I’m still not sure how to maintain sharpness throughout the whole object… i can either get the head perfectly sharp and the body slightly blurred or the other way around as with above. Any help on this would be great… i’m shooting with a canon1000 on tv with a standard 55 lense… any tips???
Thanks!!!
