W. C. FieldsMallacht, I can no longer hold back. I find you to be a perceptive reviewer but there is one thing about your posts that drive me nuts: the inclusion of the W.C. Fields “quote” at the end of each one. And the reason I get so annoyed is that W.C. Fields NEVER SAID THAT. What he did say was: “I never drink water because fish f*ck in it”. Much more funnier, I think you will agree. Some “polite” compilers of quotes (e.g. Des McHale) include your version but it robs the quotation of all it’s power and makes it bland and inoffensive. The very things that the great W. C. would have railed against.
Shot is an absolute cracker.. .As for the steps/life belt issue, they both add to it for me…
The steps do draw the eyes down the path as though you can imagine walking down in that weather..
Love the B & W conversion aswell.. Will be over that way in New Years so will be out and about..brilliant picture…its a great place when a storm is up. thats just up the road from me. i like it :D
