Gerry, the Saxaphone and the Zebra ExpresbroParticipant February 21, 2011 at 6:58 am My friend Gerry recently bought himself a nice new shiny Alto Sax in a sale. On a get together night at his house he showed it off to us, so i just had to grab a shot for posterity. I also did a number of portraits of people present using the Zebra print in the background, which i will be posting soon. Robbie tommykelsoMember February 21, 2011 at 8:20 am Nice portrait here The B&W treatment really suits it and the Zebra in the background gives it another B&W dimension BrickerParticipant February 21, 2011 at 9:57 am Very nice, but can he play????? But seriously the poster of the zebra seems like being added there later on, making the whole shot a bit abstract. Find it amusingly pleasant. TinyMember March 7, 2011 at 9:25 am I am not sure about that zebra…. its kinda distracting.. i find i am drawn to it and so the person in the shot gets lost. Niall ExpresbroParticipant March 7, 2011 at 2:12 pm Thanks guys. The Zebra print was hanging on the wall and in this shot I wanted to compose it so that it was taking up one quarter section of the shot. There really isn’t any connection between the Sax player and the zebra..so it would make it a bit abstract i guess…just a fun shot really :-) Viewing 9 posts - 1 through 9 (of 9 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
