GET OUT OF MY FACE

Lots going on in this one Alan. Lots to like and take notice, plus the processing gives it a 70#s sort of feel to it.
The brickwork on the right of the frame looks great as does the cobblestones on the road. But, the dude on the left gets lost against the blue wall, maybe pull him back a bit?
Deenfl-fanParticipantI’m struggling to understand this one Alan… as a street photo it doesn’t say that much to me.
When I read the title and then viewed the image they just didn’t really add up the way I had hoped. So you stood 10 feet away from some people walking up the path… I’m not sure if that’s enough to give the image impact.
I like the finish and some of the colour… but the scene just doesn’t grip me at all.
kenhParticipantHI Alan, I have to agree with John – I am learning that the street shots needs something extraordinary to provide a focus,
and it’s difficult to pick that up from this shot. :(RestlessNativeMemberI the right shot I think the processing is cool…but I don’t really think it suits street photography. That might just be me though but I like to see street in mono, it declutters the image and you can concentrate on the action.
It does kind of lack a focal point I just find myself looking at the brick and the great light on the cobbles, which are both good
aoluainParticipantThanks Guys,
HHmmmm dont really know how to respond . . .
What caught me about this was the light in general, I waited for some people
to add some movement in the scene.dont usually do street photography so dont really know whats in and whats not.
thanks for the pointers.
LoGillParticipanti think the processing ALOT – but as mentioned earlier I just think it needs something more happening.. more engagement from a subject ! something to give it life –
That said I think you are on the right track ;)
