I have read most of the posts on here but this is my first one so here goes. I have been gradually developing my skills and equipment for the past couple of years. After many hobbies this is the first one to last!
I know its a recession, very competitive market and flooded with people like me. I’m wondering if I should give up hope that I can earn from photography in the long term.
Everyone tells me how good my pictures are but like previous posts that’s different from people actually paying for them. (I would welcome some honest feedback on my pictures -links below).
How did you get started / get customers? Submit to the local paper, join a camera club, advertise on done deal! I don’t mind working for free to get experience but I don’t think people value things that are free so its kind of a vicious circle!
this is one opinion and I am not the god pf all things photo, nut I cannot see where the commercial value from your work will come from and that is 1/2 the battle while the other 1/2 is skill.
