Went out to play yesterday and did some doble-exposures, which I haven’t done for ages…

Nice idea. I keep meaning to experiment with this myself but not sure I’d look as good
I’d like to see a similar shot but with the “ghost” sitting sideways on the window sill. Also, on my screen it looks a bit bright. Would it look a bit more atmospheric if darkened?
    Still – interesting shot.

Very nice picture! I agree maybe to darken it a bit. But otherwise I wouldn’t complain over anything! :)

This is cool, very well done.
It might look better darker, maybe not, the brightness of the windows does catch the eye a bit.

Thanks for the feedback guys.. I tried different light balances and felt this version made the eye travel from the window to the kneeling stool and back to the ghost. The darker version made it look a bit spooky where I was going for light and airy ghost rather than spooky ghost. :)

Really like this. Can you explain how you went about getting this shot ?

In answer to how was it done..

    It’s just a double exposure.

I did it in PS rather than in camera.

Take a shot with model in situ, then another without model. Make sure exposures and focus distance is the same (ish as I was handheld).

Select both and open as panorama in PS, so that they align with each other.

Set the shot with model at 50% opacity.

Fiddle with curves and masks etc and convert to B&W.

Very nice Si, prefer the shooting angle of the second. Well executed…
