hiya, guys!
i was in Giant’s Causeway last week ago.
CC welcome.
Canon 40D – Canon Eos 1Ds – 70-200mm f/4 L USM, – 17-85mm f/5.6 L USM – 50mm f/1.4 – Canon 430EX Speedlight- tripod, Canon grip.DeeboParticipant3rd shot is the best of the bunch. Its a nice shot, but it could be cropped wider as it looks a bit squashed at this size. The foreground rocks, the steps, the sun and the boat all seem to be competing for space. Of course on a larger pixel size or print this may not be the case.
I think it needs a slight rotation to the right.
Cheers, DeeRGH_PhotographyMemberWhat time was the third one taken? the sun definately doesnt set there!

From the lighting in the pic it looks like the sun was to your right and slightly behind. Also I dont recall any
land out to see there…? Could be wrong all the same.Overall a pleasing composition but too much processing for my liking.

Just doesnt look natural to me, the causeway can be a hard enough to shoot composition can be tricky!
MDCPhotographyParticipantmiki gParticipantI’m afraid the lighting doesn’t look natural. Reminds me of the conspiracy theorists when looking at the Apollo 11 moon landing shots. They look nice though.
DeeboParticipantSo, can you tell us Jason if this is PS work with a new sky and maybe boat added?
b318ispParticipantJasz_72ParticipantThanks, guys!
Oh, sorry…i was stay there for two days, that was two images on 2 day in very early morning each day, one pic of left and right pic on other day.:)

RGH_PhotographyMemberSgt_MajorMemberandy mcinroyParticipantRGH is correct, in your 3rd photo the sun appears to rising to the left of Spaniard point which is actually north east of the Causeway. The only time it could possibly rise there would be at mid-summer and even then it would be much closer to the point. At this time of year the sun is rising well behind the headlands. It couldn’t possibly have been taken last week.
I think the lack of consistency in the lighting gives the game away anyway to be honest. It’s not wholly believable to my eyes. Sorry.
