He’s no Troy that’s for sure… but this is Giorgio, a Ukrainian friend of mine, who wanted me to take a few shots for his portfolio.
Bear in mind… I’ve never done this sorta stuff before so go easy on me. Giorgio was very pleased with the results.

Is that Stavros Flatley? Thoughts are that it is well lit and exposed, but his eyes look closed.

Aye… I agree… we were looking for that slightly sultry but menancing look but may not have pulled it off quite as we had hoped.
Any tips for getting rid of the double chin… I believe you can use Photoshop to give the effect of it being a shadow?
Other that some dodge & burn, I’m not aware of anything that would really help – but these would only have very subtle effects without spoiling the picture. A different pose or a reflector bottom RHS may be the only option.
What can I say, its perfect would not change a thing, not surprised your friend Giorgio :wink: is pleased.
Id say the women on PI will be saving this off as their desktop wallpaper…

Whilst I’m a bit surprised there are no comments from any of our female members I knew Giorgio would have that cross over appeal and have both male and females licking their lips.

Afraid not Sean… these Ukrainian men are built like tanks, the real deal in all departments.
I’d never have said that this was taken with a wide angle. You know, the way they distort the size of everything around the edges.
Yes, that’s why I tried to keep the pouch as close as possible to the sweet spot in the centre of the lens… you pick up these tips with experience.
I might even write a guide “How I lit this shot” if anyone is interested?
