Girne Harbour

Girne (or Kyrenia) Harbour, in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. A lovely little harbour, though apparently the restaurants are a ripoff. We didn’t eat there, so I wouldn’t know. What’s crazy is that there’s a bunch of casinos just down the road, because apparently the Turks LOVE to gamble, and can’t do it at home. C&C welcome, of course.
Gee why has no-one commented on this????
I just wish I was there! I’ll take the all white one on the right thanks. Nice exposure and all I would suggest is to crop out the people at bottom right and check the horizon (Yes I am one of PeteTheBloke’s Horizon Police!).
To me if a Travel shot makes you wish you were there then it has succeeded IMHO.

I was surprised that this lasted so many days without at least a negative comment. :) I thought I had actually gotten the horizon straight (I’m a bit of a nazi about it myself, actually), but it’s tough with such a small horizon :)
It looked to me like the Church steeple is leaning…it may well do that though!
Lovely shot..would not look out of place in any top notch Travel Brochure imo.
Has me aching for my holiers already :wink:

Hard to imagine, judging by the succinct nature of Joseph’s usual
responses, that he does see the world through rose tinted spectacles
