It’s a high key version of a slow exposure. Not intentional, as with most of my evolutions, but I thought it interesting. Interesting like a car crash, or 6 numbers in the lotto, I can’t tell. What do you think…and I mean if you don’t like it, say so.
I think it’s great… certainly different… as I type this I’ve only given it a short amount of consideration… so I might come back later and see does it still appeal to me… but as of right now it’s elegant in it’s own way, it’s clean, it’s crisp, it’s quiet and it’s peaceful.
I keep asking myself though… “It’s just a rock and nothing else, will I come back later and find it less interesting”. But I’ll look at it a few more times over the weekend and see does my opinion sway.
As a matter of taking an opinion from someone who isn’t really into photography I just asked Laura to give me her opinion on this Alan… she looked, and looked again… she said it was “too white”.
Now when I look at it I wonder is the white border a little too much. If I were hanging this on the wall would a clean black frame suit better?
Ah yes… well, I like the technique but not the rocks, if you see what I mean.
Pihjin sees mountaintops; I could too, but not with these particular rocks.
