AliParticipant
Here in bed exercising my creative streak. Anyway, here goes, always been into advertising and that so all comments welcome.
Going to do a few versions, so if anyone wants to have a go feel free.terryMemberHi Ali,
This is a really great idea, just a couple of things 1. Unfortunately the model is holding the glasses half over a dark image over her shoulder had she either held them closer to her face or you had posted a lighter poster behind her there the glasses would have stood out much better and 2. The Model looks great but has a very rounded and soft profile I think if she had been looking more into the camera it would be a stronger image. Although I’m sure you took some like that and have picked your favourites. As you know I’m still a novice but one who is drawn by adverts and from that perspective purely as a shopaholic I’d like to see the glasses more clearly and held more alluringly if that makes any sense at all.

AliParticipanthey Terry, thanks a mil for the detailed critique :)- agree with you totally. I myself think it would be better if she was wearing the glasses and maybe looking to the left (or maybe get the hair down and do something wacky with it). Definitely need more contrast between the glasses and the background. Gives me ideas for another shoot though.
earthairfireParticipantAli,
Nice idea, well executed.
Likes:
Like the lighting on the wall
Like the cheeky little flash of the underwear
Like the positioning of the model
Clothing (like the popped 2nd bottom button too)Not so sures:
Position of the glasses, or the glasses themselves, actually – maybe a different style would suit the shot better?
Hair – it’s slightly cropped at the top of the frame
Eye contact – would have preferred an engaged shot
Weird “rim light” on LHS of her face (her RHS)
Crumpled clothes – nothing an iron can’t fix :o)Overall, minor issues – a good shot with the potential to be great. Even adding a frame to this would do wonders. Maybe a black keyline, and a wide white border?
