Glenariff and Inver River
-
ballylig_boyParticipant
Hi,
I took this photograph this week in Glenariff Forest Park, the river is the Glenariff River. I would be particularly interested to know what anyone thinks about the composition. Is there a little too much water in the foreground?
I’m also including a second photograph which I really like but i’m wondering if its good enough for my city and guilds panel.

This one was taken a little downstream from the Ess-na-crub waterfall on the Inver River just as it meets the Glenariff River.

Thanks for looking

RASMITH32Memberboth photos are very good, one criticism of the 1st is that there is a little too much water in the bottom 3rd with little foreground intrest. 2nd one is flawless for me

ballylig_boyParticipantThanks for looking RAS, I’ll try cropping a little off the bottom of the 1st picture.
SodafarlMemberBrian, Which city and Guilds are you doing as in what level. I think you could fit the second 1 in nicely as you can use it as an example of slow shutter speed and with the great colours in it would make a lovely print for your presentation.
Wish I could get a couple like it for mine.Cheers

ballylig_boyParticipantHi Soda,
Its only a level 1 that i’m doing at Newtownabbey tech. Just learning the basics. I need to get another day in the forest before the leaves all fall to get the rest of my panel sorted. With the wind we have had i wouldn’t be surprised if I’m too late.

Brian,
I personally think Trevor will like both of these especially if you have covered shutter speeds this week. Don’t show him too many pictures at a time or there won’t be a lesson.
Good luck with the course.
I’m doing the level 2 there.Soda
