Glenariff Forest

Out last week with a couple of PI members, we made a brief trip to Glenariff Forest, County Antrim.
I’ve photographed this spot many many times in the past, and so I wanted something a little different, which is why I decided to get a little closer to the falls. And I didn’t even get my feet wet! :D

Beautiful exposure, and tons of detail, though for me there
is something disturbing about the perspective – some major
corrections needed to ensure that gravity is properly represented
in the verticals left of frame. With those corrected, it would be
stunning; without, I feel the need to lie down and sober up.
Still, that’s just my opinion, for what it’s worth…

Beautiful shot right enough. I love the red bits (leaves?) in the pool.

Rob’s observation about the verticals is right though.

Beautiful shot and exposure pity about the verticals but that can be corrected still a great shot though.

Hmmmmm…..I wonder who the other PI members were….?? Why have we seen nothing from them….?? They must be crap photographers. Maybe they’re in hiding. Any ideas anyone…..?

Top class, I wish I could do a shot like that, I feel I would need some training on camera settings and Camera Techniques..

Thanks for the comments. I must admit that I hadn’t noticed the verticals! lol

Ross – I don’t know who those other members where, although I thought they would have posted some pics up by now…. lol
    Hope you’re keeping well.

superb, I like the water, to me, it looks like the water is a liquid melting off the side of the hill! wonderfully done.

Ok, time to admit that I was one of the 3-some present when this shot was taken……

I pointed my camera in the opposite direction to the waterfall after all attempts to capture it failed. This was probably the best of a very weak performance by my good self. But still it was an interesting exercise and hopefully one to be repeated at an ‘easier’ venue. The rocks here were treacherous for stepping across – just ask Steve D who probably has bruises to prove it.

I think you should start a thread with this one Ross.

(Then we can all lambast it without taking over Steve’s thread).
