    my 2nd saturday in a row out and about early trying to get a few shots. the sun rise was in completely the opposite direction to this shot …but i just couldn’t make anything of it :x . taken standing in leitrim but that view is all sligo . its 3 shots stitched using hug-in freeware(much better than ps for stitching)

    It’s a lovely shot but I think it would be cracker if you could have included something interesting in the foreground. I know it’s not always possible and still an excellent shot.

    Thanks for all the positive comments folks…mark I couldn’t agree with you more about it needing a bit of foreground interest but there just wasn’t anything there …. And I really did search !!! this version of it , posted on Flickr , has actually lost most of its colour . The original or even when posted on facebook is much warmer and vibrant. the light shining on the mountain and the sky have really lost their orange glow . Wonder why , anyone ideas ? I know I changed something to do with colour in ps recently . I think I changed from sRGB to camerapro … Or something like that ….could that be the culprit ? Looks fine on ps , picture viewer and Facebook though
