Glenoe Falls

SteveDParticipant
Steven Hanna and I headed to Glenoe Falls today and fortunately the rain stayed away!
I’m not so sure about this photo yet – I think there might be a bit of a colour cast? All feedback very welcome.
Canon 30D, Canon 17-85mm 17mm, ISO 100, f16, 1.3s.
Many thanks,
SteveEDIT: Richie Hatch thinks it has a yellow cast, and I think he might be right! A corrected version…
sean1098MemberA really beautiful image there stevie, composition is lovely and nice choice of shutter speed also. I would be VERY Happy with this one.
Sean.
SteveDParticipantCheers Sean. Weather is looking a bit better for this week, hopefully we should get a few shots somewhere!

Yeah hopefully steve, Im of for another week, so give me a buzz and well get out a wee run.
Sean.
Vanessa kennedyMemberNice image Steve… Love these kinda ‘slow water’ shots although Antrim would be a mighty fine trek for me!
Roll on the good weather!
Vanessa 8)lousyParticipantNicely exposed and the water effect is nice, but the red in the foliage is throwing me somewhat.
The crop also has me a bit clostrophobic.Pat
Brian_CParticipantSteve that’s a mighty fine shot. Probably the best shot if seen of Glenoe. I almosted headed to this place this a.m. but landed in Glenarriff instead.
BTW: How did you manage to get so low and still keep the lense splash free?
MartySParticipantNice composition Steve
However I’d agree with Pat – where did the red come from? It gives the appearance of autumn time not winter/spring :? However maybe our trees/leaves are as confused as our weather…
SteveDParticipantThanks for the kind comments everyone. Dead leaves are scattered all over this gulley, and I can only assume they have been there since Autumn! I promise that the red colour is true to life! I have a witness
Brian – I had setup the tripod in a calm bit of the river, so splashing wasn’t an issue! Phew!
BrickeeParticipantanakozParticipantVery nice picture. Although I think I prefere the first one. As someone mentioned, the red almost confuses the eye but I think in the first image, the slight yellow tinge hightens the colours of the green foliage and blends them more efficiently with the red tones. Just my oppinion :) Again… nice work!
