Glenoe falls

    Hello –

I’m a new member and have been studying all the wonderful photos posted here.

I visited Glenoe Falls last week; there was a steady rain so I all I did was experimented with different compositions. I do plan to go back and try again.

Since these are handheld and the light wasn’t great, I wasn’t too concerned about sharpness or exposure. Which of the following do you feel works better and why: the first, second, or neither?

    Thanks for looking!

Both are nice shots though I see what you mean regarding the light. Personally i prefer the second. The lanscape/ pano format suits the shot more so than the portait in shot 1. Number 1 feels too tightly cropped. In the second I like the way your eye is carried along the path on the left and down to the falls or alternatively up the dirt track on the left. A beam of sunlight and the 2nd for me would be near perfect.

I like the second too as I think this scene works better landscape format, the only thing that would improve it for me would be a bit more space above the falls.

    Ps, Welcome to the site.
