Wood is the main motive, is more attractive.
shutterbugParticipantVery nice, lovely colours and has a serene quietness to it, a
picture you could lose yourself in.PD_BARBSParticipantstevie glennMemberaoluainParticipantKlarens wrote:

very very nice indeed, well done.
I would kind of know where Martin is going with his query.
TBH there may have been a shot there without the foreground interest
as the tones in the distant mountains and the reflection are amazing, would
have made for a really serene shot.anyway great image there as is.
tommykelsoMemberedg3Participantroom_x50MemberKlarensParticipantRASMITH32MemberNice shot K. Lough ness springs to mind when I look at the wood. The only thing I would say and possibly where Martin is coming from?, is that the wood in the foreground doesnt look like it should be there. It looks a bit staged to be honest. That said, it is nice. Maybe if it was sitting in the water, it might look more natural.
mmcirelandParticipantGreat shot, up there with the professionals, you should put it on a magazine site and see if it gets printed?
JMac-2006Participantnice image
i think the wood suits the image however did you experiment with its position in frame (looks a little central) perhaps in the water or rule of thirds to left or right acting as a lead in line to the horizon ? – it does look a little staged and perhaps too dominant in the centre :(
