Golden Eagle & Fox

3 days, sitting in a hide from 7am until 3pm. Got this today. Hoping to get a Goshawk tomorrow.
Excellent capture Aidan, really like the composition. Was the fox dead or alive before the eagle came along, or is he being used as bait.

Fantastic shot. It would be a good one to show to sheep farmers here. Maybe then people might stop poisoning these beautiful birds.

Thanks folks. Today was a reminder how nature isn’t a scheduled show. I spent 7 hours in a Goshawk hide. The camera shy female didn’t make an appearance at all. I dared not to even move the camera in case she was watching and saw movement. There was a braver male but the locals think he died last year – the female has been heard calling for a mate.
