Hi Trev. #1 would be my favourite of the two of these, but I don’t think the lighting helped you. It looks fairly flat to me & lacks contrast. Maybe a fill-in flash could have helped with this to bring out more detail. The focusing in #2 seems to be off a bit. The bit of branch in the top right corner seems to be the sharpest part of the shot. Good try though.
