Hi Sinead. This could have been a lovely shot but in my opinion a few things have left it down.
1. Its so lacking in colour that it may be better as b&w. Even then Im not sure there are enough tones.
2. Presuming that your focal point was supposed to be the boat, it’s too small and completely lost in the frame. You should have zoomed in to make it the dominant feature of the image.
3. The mountains in the background are cutting right through the centre of the frame which can work in some cases eg. lake reflection, but unfortunately not here.
4. I’d clone out that bird(?) on the left side – I actually thought it was a bit of dirt on my screen.
I hope you take this as constructive and not just knocking it. Like I said, could have been lovely and the scene was well spotted but it needed a better approach.
fair points, on the flipside ther is something nice about the small boat contrasting against the expanse that is the surroundings. maybe a bit mor water and a little less sky. a duo tone effect would be nice on this shot
