good 2nd hand cameras?

hi, im just starting at photography and use my daughters canon 350d, it getting annoying now as we both want it at the same time so ive decided to get my own, it has to be 2nd hand as funds are low £400 max. ive found some good deals locally for a canon 450d with and without kit from £3 – 400ish, im liking the 450d because im happy with the 350d but the bonus on live view and extra features, is there a good alternative in the 2nd hand market at this price range?

You could also look into a 30d or possibly a 40d if you could stretch it!! These are more of a proffessional type of camera and will be better than the 450d even if they are slightly older.
