Good Bye Kingfishers

I’m a little sad today after watching a Kingfisher family for the last three weeks they have fledged the nest. I got to see the family early this morning before they flew away to begin their new life, it’s as if they waited to say goodbye.

But it’s great to see they have set off safely after all the hard work their parents done on feeding them. :(

Lucky you, and you might be even luckier as there is still plenty of time for them to have
another brood! If they start early in the season which can be as early as late March they
can have up to three broods, which is fantastic, it is a wonder we are not overrun with them!
(I wish) :) Lovely shot too.

Hard to get these guys and you’ve done a lovely job on getting this one. Excellent shot.

I know I commented on this shot earlier but can I make a small suggestion perhaps a slight vinigette would really make the bird standout I know its a wildlife shot and should lean more towards the documentery than the creative edit but perhaps a subtle push would lift the composition.
