I am surprised no comments on this – i really like it great location and colours in sky and nice composition
I’d say to lift it a bit you should give a tweak to levels and saturation

Super shot. Really like it as it is. Id have a play with selective colour to bring out the colours a small bit more but other than that a great shot well done

I agree nice shot, love the colours in this overall. I like the composition, as far as I am concerned great shot.

Nice one! I really like the composition and the way the road draws your eyes into the image like a cork screw. Well done.

Beautiful colours Stephen only niggle i have would be to crop the bottom a tad as i dont think the grassy mound adds anything, but this is only small

3.39am eh?? Posting early or late??

I agree with the posirtives above. My first thought was a colour Ansel Adams image. Nothing centrally attractive but as a whole it sweeps well and looks to be well caught. I’d suspect a combination of exposures but I don’t think that should sway any opinion of a great image.

    I was posting late!

It is a combination of 2 exposures as I was there too late and the dynamic range was way above what my 20d can capture! I want to go back there a bit earlier in the evening sometime or possibly in the morning if I can force myself up! I left the mound in as I was very close to the edge as it was and the mound wasn’t particularly solid cropping it I felt made the picture all sky with not enough ground but if I could get a slightly higher vantage point I think it would improve the shot.

Amazing shot, very different! Would you mind sharing the settings you used for this shot?
