    Hi All,

    Taken just before sunrise.

    Nikon D300, Nikor 12-24 F4, ISO 100, f11, 46 seconds.
    Not a HDR. No processing.
    Just slight dodging and burning.

    Hi Gerry,

I think this is very good.

    Nice composition with the reflection.
The curved foreground looks like a protective arm around the buildings.

    Well done.

    Gerry,

This is stunning. I used to live in Millennium Tower and still work nearby. I’ve always thought the stillness of the canal created much nicer reflections than the sea in Portmarnock, where I live now. I’ve never shot down there but this has inspired me to do some soon.

    Thanks,

    Dave

Thanks Dave. Great spot. Enough for an album on its own.

Lovely shoot, but if you would have a wider lens and show more of left side of canal (edge running similar to right side), maybe it would work bit better, its just my opinion.

Thanks Thomas. I took the shot at 13mm, but had a 1mm more on the 12-24mm.
Had taken about 5 shots wider to the left at 12mm, but found that it became unbalanced
as the middle tower became too centered. Also the next light on the pavement to
the left wasn’t working making it look incomplete. But it’s a matter of taste I suppose,
would have liked to include more and looked at it a long time but the more left you
include the weaker i found the right side to be.

    Beautiful shot.

I love that area when the water is so calm, mirror like. I used to work on the Barrow Street side and have taken some similar ones from there.

    Nice work, love the tones.
