Hi to all at PI, have recently joined after acquiring my first DSLR – a Nikon D40. Love this little camera.
The name is Andy, live in Sallins, work in Dublin and photograph anywhere.Have already posted a few photographs up on the sports and nature threads. Main interests are sports especially soccer. Have recently been given permission to photograph at Kildare County FC’s home games. First one is tomorrow evening in the cup against Fanad United. Will hopefully post up one or two good ones on wednesday.

I’m over the road in Clane from you! How did you get permission to shoot at Kildare’s games? Do they give you a pass to get onto the field?

I simply contacted the club and sent them a few pictures I had taken from other soccer matches. They liked what they saw and asked me to come down to their next match. They are looking for photographs for their website. Not sure what my limitations will be regarding access to pitch or clubhouse etc but I’ll get a pass for all their home games. Not a bad place to start. Its non-paying at the moment but hopefully I’ll do enough to prove I’m worth a few bob.
