A series of shots from last week, C&C please.

Straight from a whisky advert. Excellent.
I think it would be worth cropping out the very
closest foliage in 2 and 3, and perhaps tweaking the
colours a bit to raise the green of the grass.

#1 might be a little over sharp for me. I’d agree with the slight crop that Pete suggests on 2 and 3. I think 2 would be better because there’s a little more interest.

Number 3 for me, with a closer crop perhaps

Excellent. Be sure to add them to the Book of Birds…

I like the 1st the most, maybe a slight levels adjustment to darken the shadows in the heather a touch to increase the contrast.

Love the first one, were these taken locally (Wicklow)? I have never seen
a grouse before, apart from the adds on the telly which I love, especially
    “the perfect drop” one :)

Thank you all for you replies, I will be having another go at editing them and take your view on board.
Yes this was taken in Wicklow, it was done under licence and there are a few tricks i’ve developed for find them.
They are a great bird!! Bloody frustrating buggers to photograph though, they never go where you want them :)
