Guess where I was tonight – yes thats right, Urris !!
-
andy mcinroyParticipant
I went out tonight with a view to go anywhere OTHER than Urris. But my car actually steered it’s own way. There must some magnetism going on down there.
Here’s the first, 3 more to come.

Love the light bouncing off the the rocks in the 1st shot.
Texture on those grey rocks in the other 2 are nice also.
andy mcinroyParticipantThanks guys,
Markdon, glad you enjoyed the webpage.
Mr H Thanks for those comments. I am most pleased with 1 and 4. Unfortunately 1 suffers from blacked out rocks near the top which is the result of using a grad filter. I might see what I can recover for the final edit.

JMcLParticipantGreat shots Andy, #4 is probably my favourite, though it’s a tough choice! Hope the Pentax was wearing its wellies for #2 :)
John
andy mcinroyParticipantThanks John,
My camera was almost as soaked as me. It got hit with a couple of big ones when my back was turned.
My theory is that if I’m not wrecking my gear then I’m not trying hard enough.
Last night it was the Lee ND filter that bit the dust on the hard granite. Ouch.

Shame on them.

Just what I was thinking. These are great shots Andy..but I think I’d have a heart attack worrying about my camera that close to the sea…one half decent wave and…just doesn’t bear thinking about….!!!
There’s something to admire in every one of those shots so couldn’t possibly pick one over another :D
carlParticipantandy mcinroyParticipantThanks Robert, Expresbro, Carl,
Expresbro, I might need to think about an underwater housing if I get any closer. And that’s just for me.
Here’s the final edit on number 1 where I’ve done a bit of dodging to bring out as much shadow detail as I can. I’ve still lost a little near the top, but it’s the best I can do.
