First Playmate of 2008
This made me wonder are there photographers on the site that share my passion for Vintage Guitars?
Here are the best of my collection. The guitars are the thing not the image quality!1962 Martin D-28, 1967 Martin 000-28
Various Martins
Cheers, John
lousyParticipantYeah nice one there; I don’t have a Martin, but I’m told that Elvis used Martin a lot.
Unfortunately I don’t share your passion for guitars but I do play a little and as said before I sold a Tak’ before ChristmasPat
irishshaguaParticipantJaysus, nice collection. I’ve only got the one acoustic and electric (and both have been posted). Do you collect guitars or do you play them all? You should get yourself a twelve string. I played one in Ballyshannon at Roryfest last year and the sound out of them is great.
Pretty impressive collection though any electrics?
RobMemberI don’t really collect as such. These instruments are the tools
of my trade and are in constant use both for recording and performing…Sorry about the partial views; these are pretty old images from when I first got my camera
and was just messing about one evening. I’ll post full images when I take them.1988 Gibson ES 335 dot (Main workhorse), 1962 Gibson Les Paul Custom (Studio work only),
Godin Multiac Duet, Takamine EF261S, Godin Glissentar. There are others, but these are the only useful ones…
Rob.
irishshaguaParticipantNice set there Rob. I always loved the look and sound out of the 335…
Have you played on anything I’d have heard? I’d love to have a go at a studio session some day. Me gf is the only one I’ve ever recorded for and that was on a bloody standard PC microphone  , and I was singing, so the less said about that the better.Nice guitars though. You have expensive hobbies. haha
Noely FParticipantGreat collection, the last of my guitars is a ’75 Ibanez Concord acoustic. Also available as a 12 string too.
I’ll post a shot when I get the polish out :Djb7ParticipantFantastic collection there-
very jealous-
not that I play, which makes it slightly easier…Although I did accompany the brother singing ‘Rock’n’Roll Suicide on New Year’s-
but nobody was capable of being critical by that stage-Rob, are you ready for your Hombre in a Homburg wiv a Hohner Gatefold shot yet?
I’ve got a picture of a banjo,
but I wouldn’t dare put it in here-
Its not a collectors banjo, for a start,
and it could start a whole mac/pc Nikon/Canon type thing all over again…j
FintanParticipantListen guys, guitars and photography dont mix, you cant be good at both

Savage….
guthrijParticipantRob,the Gibbo ES335 was one of the best electrics ever. I had a 62 “block”version. I sold it to finance a 62 Strat.
jb7 – Banjos are cool
Fintan – Loved the link to EC and his Leica. Someone should buy him an SLR.
John
monoParticipantAre you one of those people who ruin a perfectly good house party by pulling out a guitar for a sing along?
